Does a physician have to write a letter back to the requesting physician if they share the same EHR? We are a multi-specialty group, PCP refers to specialist. Thanks.
 
We route the document to the referring provider as a message, which prompts the referring provider to view the note and sign. This would satisfy the respond requirement.
