How should the documentation of, Coombs +2, ABO incompatibility, be interpreted and coded.

Newborn Jaundice, Phototherapy ordered and total bilirubin labs.

There are two coding clinics, one indicates to code to and abnormal lab test, 779.89 with 790.99, and the other ABO incompatibility. I'm confused as to when to code to the ABO incompatibility and if the physician needs to document "hemolytic disease in newborn" before using the 773.1 code.

Coding for newborn records, facility side.

Thank you.
