For our Sports Medicine practice we sometimes bill for the global fracture care code. Now, the question is do we collect copayments for the patient's first visit which we use the global code on or are we supposed to collect the copayment everytime the patient is seen.
 
Co pay on first visit ONLY

If you are using the fracture care code w/ a 90-day global period then you would charge the appropriate co-pay only on the FIRST visit. All follow-up visits in the global period are no charge (you can use 99024 to track, however) and are not subject to any co-pay.
