Our physician did the cordblood collection and also Tissue.
As in some of the previous threads on the cordblood the CPT code used is
S2140 is there a code for the Tissue?
 
This is becoming a pretty hot topic. According to one of my docs, the company that stores the samples pays for the harvesting. I don't know about tissue, I have only heard about the cord blood from my docs. There again you might be looking at 58999... I would love to hear from others on this!
