My facility ophthalmologist uses the diagnosis, "corneal haze" Could someone suggest the ICD-9 code to use for this? Thanks

Check the codes for Opacity, opacities
Cornea 371.00
as a starting point. A corneal haze is a clinical sign; an opacification or cloudiness of the normally clear cornea. Can occur with corneal infections, glaucoma, or during the healing process after any corneal surgery. Most types will disappear with time or drug treatment; may be permanent (Dictionary of Eye Terminology, 5th ed., Barbara Cassin, Melvin L. Rubin, MD, Editor.)

Thank you so much David....I like your specific response rather than using "other corneal deformities" codes.
