I have a physician that is taking a patient to the cath lab in a few weeks and is planning to do an SVG intervention (proximal and distal) in addition to a separate lesion in the mid which is an SVG aneurysm exclusion. These are all 3 different lesions. The physician is thinking the aneurysm treatment isn't a PCI, but that it is more of a surgical code for aneurysm exclusion. After looking through CPT, a coronary stent whether for an aneurysm or stenosis, is the same code. Also, if more than one stent is placed in the same vessel, only one can be billed. Does anyone have any thoughts on this or some other code I may have overlooked?

Thank you in advance for your help!
