Scenario: Patient had a spinal fusion with an inter body cage placed. Do you code for the plate and screws added that level the cage is? Or would you code them if they are at a different level then the fusion if added during the same operative session?

If you are talking about an anterior cervical surgery, yes you can bill for both. for an interbody cage, the code is 22851, cervical plate is 22845 for 2-3 vertebral segments, code 22846 for 4-7.
