Help, please! I'm looking for clarification on when it is appropriate to use this code in a physician office setting. My current understanding is that it is used when a patient presents for the actual collection of the sample, on which the tests will be run, prior to a routine exam (for example, a CPE, a diabetic check up). There is no other reason for the visit.

Appreciate any clarification you have to offer!

Many thanks.

Sorry about that... I'm doing some HCC coding which involves dates of service prior to 10/01/2015. So, the code would be valid.

Many thanks!
