Wiki Correction of ankle valgus deformity - HELP!

Hi,

I'm not new by any means to the world of coding however my brain has just frozen up on me! The doctor wrote in the procedures performed that he "corrected the ankle valgus deformity." I'm thinking this is done by doing a tibia osteotomy but like I said my brain doesn't appear to be working today. Does anyone have any thoughts on this procedure and what would be done to correct the deformity? I would greatly appreciate anyone helping as soon as possible.

I think you are probably correct, but your doc should have more documented. I would ask him to append the dictation and say exactly what he did to accomplish the valgus correction. :)
