can we charge for a level visit and a coumadin check on same day? I was told we could not and we have at our office. especailly if the doc sees them and performs coumadin check....please help!!!

when the reason for the encounter is to perform a blood collection and run the test then no the evaluation is part of the blood collection if you follow the parameters of an anticoagulation follow up encounter then yes see the 99636 and 99637 I think, sorry my book is in my luggage, but there are visit levels for the physician to charge but you have to meets the specs.
