Covering Physician Contracts Outside of Group

Our physician's share call with the other OB/Gyn group in town. As of right now we are billing for the global care of the patient if it's our patient and they deliver and they are billing the global for their patient's when we deliver. Is this legal? If so, what kind of documentation do we need in place to cover us? Please help. Thank you.
