The 2021 guidelines address coding for pre-procedure screening for COVID using Z20.828 and the AMA guideline FAQ states to code Z01.818 as well in prime. I have not found anything that gives guidance on screening of Health Care Workers, screening for returning to work (earlier than the 2 week quarantine) nor for students returning to school/college. Should these also be coded with Z20.828 and a code from the Z02-Encouter for Administrative Exam category?
