Hello- my practice is currently considering performing our own Covid 19 test prior to procedures and surgeries performed at our Ambulatory Surgery Center. Are these services ASC approved and reimbursed? If we do this in our office instead, what CPT codes are being used and is everyone being reimbursed? I know months ago, there were issues with reimbursement. Any guidance would be greatly appreciated, thank you!!

Hi there, curious to know if you proceeded with doing pre-op covid screening at your ASC? Are you getting reimbursed? We are collecting specimens pre-op and were using the 99211 charge.
