Good afternoon,
This fall, we have been receiving denials for administering the flu and covid vaccinations on the same date of service. The denials are coming from Kaiser, Aetna and Washington Medicaid. Have others seen these denials?
We were billing 90471 vaccination admin, 90656 flu vaccine, 90480 covid vaccination admin and 91320 covid vaccine.
Does 90480 need a modifier?
Any suggestions are welcome!
