Hello! Has anyone seen if any of the insurance companies will be paying/reimbursing for the Covid Vaccine once the government funded vaccines are done?
Thank you!

If the patient's commercial insurance plan covers vaccines/immunizations (AKA is ACA compliant for wellness/preventive services) then based on the CDC-ACIP vaccine schedule the COVID-19 vaccine should be covered based on the CDC-ACIP guidance. Here is the link to the immunization schedule for ages 0-18 years, which includes the COVID-19 vaccine. https://www.cdc.gov/vaccines/schedules/hcp/imz/child-adolescent.html. Here is the link to the CDC's COVID-19 vaccine recommendation for all ages. https://www.cdc.gov/vaccines/covid-19/clinical-considerations/covid-19-vaccines-us.html

BCBS is paying for the vaccine (but far less than our cost) however they are applying the admin fee to patient deduct. We are in discussions with them right now to see if this can be remedied.
