I have spent my entire career in the medical field. I started as a medical assistant, have worked in physician offices, and for billing companies. I have been a coder for 12 years, coding fulltime for 7.5 of those years. I was the Client Manager, over a group of ED physicians billing/collections when I became certified and then had the chance to become a coder for them working in the ED departments of area hospitals.

I have also worked in Internal Medicine, Endocrinology, Gastroenterology, Anesthesia and Pain Management . I have done some coding in all listed above.
