I am recently certified as a CPC-A. I am brand new to coding but have worked in the medical field as a front desk employee for 4 years. I am well versed in EPIC, insurance verification, provider charges, and medical records. My experience as a front desk manager for the last year has really helped me understand certain codes as I do work with the billing department to fix certain charges on office visits. I am well-versed in-patient access and communication because of this role as well.
I am very eager to learn the coding or billing side of things and am wwould love to be fully remote but am willing to work a hybrid schedule as well. Full time would be preferred but I would be open to a contract or part time position 10-15 hours a week to get my foot in the door while still working my office manager position at my local primary care.
