I am taking my CPC exam in Sept and right now I have been reviewing/studing the Anesthesia codes and am really having a hard time figureing these out, not sure how to or were to make notes in my book, esp for the all the different modifiers. Any suggestions please??

Sandra, I believe you can write notes in your book anywhere. When I took the exam, I also had a post-it to mark appendix A so I could flip to it quickly if I needed to look up a modifier and I high-lighted the anesthesia modifiers, just so I could find them easily.

Hi-lighting was the best for me and anesthesia is one of the smaller chapters in the book so the guidelines are where most of the important matter is. I actually studied the guidelines heavily on each chapter before my exam. I felt this helped me immensely. Good luck!

Thank you so much for your suggestions. I think the HCPCS modifiers is what is confusing me. I have them highlights and just going to note in the section to remember to check for them if needed.
Thank you!!!
