Hi, I am trying to figure out, which training i should go out for. Are Hospital Coders more in demand than Physician Coders?

Actually, the CPC-P is directed toward payors, i.e. health insurance companies, while the CPC-H is geared towards outpatient facilities. Do you have your CPC yet?

No, not yet. I am thinking about taking the training course in Sept, but was wondering, which direction i should take.

Look into the codingcertification.org site. Laureen Jandroep (who is a frequent poster here) has an online physician based coding program. I'm currently doing this program and it is really great. Check it out and you'll see what I am talking about!
