I just obtained my CPC-A. Do I need to obtain my CPC-H to code for clinics and outpatient hospital clinics such as Kaiser and St. Joseph's Hospital?

first off Congratulations on passing the exam.
I think each facility will let you know what type of credentials they are looking for. I would suggest checking out the hospitals you listed job sites to see their requirements for those positions or even calling their human resource department. I believe with your CPC-A you are good to go but to be sure those are just some suggestions.

I do coding in Michigan as well as remote for a few other states, from my experience and what I have learned is an actual hospital will not hire a CPC, they require a CPC-h, RHIT, RHIA, or CCS, even if it's just outpatient services being coded.
