I have medical coding experience in Outpatient Physical Therapy, Orthotics, Diabetic Foot Wear, X-ray and Ultrasound coding. Also, I have over 14 years of experience performing the various duties required to complete the billing/revenue cycle from beginning to completion.
In my current position at a mobile x-ray provider?s office my work consists of:
? Coding of X-ray reports and Ultrasound reports

? Review Explanation of Benefits from insurance payers
? Post payments
? Appeal claims for payment
? Work the A/R including:
o Denials
o Following up on insurance balances
A strength that I am pleased to share is my ability to reduce days in A/R significantly in a short period of time.
? I reduced the A/R at one practice from 21% to 5% in less than 6 months.
? At my previous employment I maintain the A/R at 1%
? Currently employment, I have credential the company with Railroad Medicare and implemented the policy for secondary claims to be filed with insurance
