Can anyone provide documentation stating that these codes will not be reimbursed if billed by an Assistant Surgeon? I can locate NCCI Medicare guidelines stating this is not reimbursable but i am having a hard time locating information from other payers. (Florida Blue, Humana, Cigna and all other private payers)
 
When you check allowed modifiers in AAPC for both of those codes it states that the AS and 80 modifiers are not allowed
