When a reverse TSA is done for fracture, the tuberosity repair work is not otherwise captured by 23472 and the additional code for tuberosity repair, 23630, should be coded in addition to 23472. This is the AAOS coding committee's position, does not violate any NCCI guidance or PTP edits, and is in the process of being communicated to the AMA as well.
