On the original claim, CPT 51102 was denied, stating the modifier was missing. After a conversation with the urologist and a review of all modifiers allowed in Codify, we added modifier RT. Next, the CPT 51102 was denied, saying the procedure is inconsistent with the modifier. The doctor was called to the ER to see this patient. The other code on the claim was 99223-25, which was paid.
