Hi,

I am in need of some help determining if there is an available fiber supply code or an equivalent HCPCS code that will be able to be billed on a facility claim for CPT 52648 - XPS Laser/Laser vaporization of prostate.
Could I use a CPT 99070 or HCPCS C1889? Would the location of the surgery be a determining factor on my question above?

When I path it in 3m it doesn't give me an option to add HCPC code so I would so no
99070 is would be for office wasn't this done in OR?

Do you know if there is a separate billable code for the technical component on fiber used with the CPT 52648 - XPS Laser/Laser vaporization of prostate?

I don't believe so when I read the coder desk reference fiber is a part of the description of OP. My bet would be that it is a part of the global package price of the procedure; therefore not separately billable.
