I have a surgeon that insist on billing 65778 in addition to cpt 65426 for pterygium removal in order to be able to recoup some of the cost for an amniograft.

I'm more in line to thinking cpt 65778 is used mainly for disease processes and not pterygium. Any thoughts on this?
