Is CPT 92018 for an ophthalmologic exam & eval under general anesthesia billable when performed during a post-operative period?
Patient's surgery, CPT 65850 (90 day global period) was performed in March 2012 & was later seen a month later in April 2012 for CPT 92018. Both March & April were rendered with dx 743.20 bupathalmos.
Will a modifier 78 or 58 be appropriate with CPT 92018 since it was performed during the post op?
Any thoughts or advice? Please advise if anyone could help. Thank you so much!
