Can someone shed some light on Pulmonary Stress Testing ( CPT 94620)..I have had 2 different resources tell me that they have been told by Medicare to bill this code for a 6 minute walk test. We have always used 94761 in the past. Does anyone have any knowledge of such a scenario ? Any help is apprecited !
 
Prior to 2007 many Fiscal Intermediaries allowed hospitals to submit 94761 for the 6 minute walk test. If it was done with any other procedure it was bundled. In 2007, CMS created 94620 for the test.
