Hello. I am hoping for some help with charging the infusion charges for this scenario. This is an Observation patient who was admitted for a 2 day stay. On Day 1, patient received Zosyn for 30 minutes (CPT 96365), on Day 2 patient received 3 subsequent doses of Zosyn, 6 hours apart, each for 25-30 minutes. I code these with CPT 96366 X3, treating each subsequent dose of the same med according to the time the med infused. I have been charging infusions for 15 years and I am being told that these should be CPT 96376 for which I disagree. I welcome any expertise/guidance! Thanks!!
