Hi ,
previously Patient got Incision and drainage with in Postoperative period patient get cellulitis on same area. so can we code CPT 99024 or 99211 or 99212.

Please help me.
Thanks you.:)

This will depend on what service was performed and whether or not the documentation supports that the cellulitis is related to the procedure or not. If it is in the same area, then it is most likely related, but a review of documentation would be needed to know for certain. Under global surgery rules, E&M for management of a complication related to surgery is included in the post-operative care and not separately payable. If unrelated, then a modifier 24 may be billed with the appropriate E&M level for the service that has been documented.
