Can any tell me if CPT code 99457 can be billed in and PCP setting (remote monitoring equipment and the other related codes for this service)?
 
Yes, CPT 99457, Remote physiologic monitoring treatment management services, 20 minutes or more of clinical staff/physician/other qualified health care professional time in a calendar month requiring interactive communication with the patient/caregiver during the month, can be billed once per month.
 
Hi, in regards to the RPM, when the code says "interactive communication with the patient/caregiver during the month" first 20 minutes. What counts toward the 20 minutes? I understand it can be phone, text and email, however, can the time be cumulative? And if yes, what is the DOS? If not cumulative, then is the threshold of time for the first 20 minutes 11 minutes?
