Attendance at c-section delivery was requetested for possible need for resuscitation due to severe maternal preeclampsia, high blood pressure, and infant of diabetic mother. Normal baby born, just needing to follow normal blood sugar protocol. What dx code would you use for this 99464? Is V30.01 appropriate because the baby was normal--would that support the use of 99464?

Any thoughts would be appreciated?

You would use the V30.01 as the primary dx and it should be fine, but from your post I think it would be good to go ahead and add a secondary dx of "infant of diabetic mother".
