Wiki CPT 99490 Chronic Care Management

Hello everyone,

Does a Medicare wellness have to be billed every year in order to qualify for 99490 Chronic Care Management? If this is correct does anyone have any resources stating this?

Chronic Care Management

There was a change regarding initiation of CCM services. The annual wellness visit is not required but a face-to-face E/M service must be furnished prior to initiating CCM. See the following revised guidance from CMS.
