If these two codes are being billed together, wouldn't the provider need to use a modifier? And wouldn't they be subject to a reduction since the surgeon is using the same entry to do both procedures? (The physician administers a topical or general anesthetic and inserts the laryngoscope into the patient's mouth ) both codes have the same entry and use a laryngoscope.
