Does anyone know if there is a rule where you can only bill cpt code 61343 -Craniectomy, suboccipital with cervical laminectomy for decompression of medulla and spinal cord, with or without dural graft (eg, Arnold-Chiari malformation) once per session? Modifier 50 is not allowed . I have tried billing w a count of 2 but was denied. I will either try to break up in units and bill 2 lines or only bill once if there is a rule w this cpt code. I have researched, but cannot find one. thank you for your help.
