Can anyone tell me if cpt code 82948 is a non payble code? We have received a rejection from BCBS of MI stating this is a non billable code. I just want to verify this as I am not that fimilar with this code.:)
 
I don't know why this would be rejected, unless of the diagnosis? For example, if the diagnosis was a family planning dx code, from an insurance standpoint, this would not be covered. Glucose testing is not relevant to family planning, but paid under the medical benefit. It's not a Status B or P on the PFS. What exactly was the rejection reason listed on the PDR?
