Hello,

I am billing 93971 and 93922 on the same DOS with the same Dx code, M79.621. 99244 was also billed with no modifiers, different dx for the E&M. The 93922 is being denied by GHI stating they follow the CMS multiple cardiology coding rule. I saw somewhere that because the physiological study and the Doppler scan have the same dx code, I will need a KX modifier. Is this true? Does anyone have any experience with this?
