The general surgeon I work for excised a large rectus mass. It created a large fascial defect that he was unable to pull together without a great amount of tension. He elected to place a composite type mesh for reinforcement that would normally be used to repair a ventral incisional hernia. He wants to be paid for the mass excision and the mesh repair. Does anyone have any ideas how this would be coded?
