I have a Doctor that removed 10 papillomas. dictation reads excision of multiple papillomas.3 on right thigh, 1 on left thigh, 6 on right side of neck and 1 on left side of neck. they were all shaved and cauterized with removal of the lesions.he did not say what size they were. what CPT would you suggest with out knowing the size of each one?

Query physician

I would query the physician and ask that s/he dictate an addendum specifying the size of EACH lesion - including margins.

If the physician is unwilling to do this, I would code with the minimum size for each lesion.
You'll have 11300 for each of the lesions on the thighs. And 11305 for each of the lesions on the neck.

Hope that helps.
