Procedure: Removal of Tunneled dialysis catheter, venography, insertion of new tunneled dialysis catheter.
Description: Difficult procedure as the patient was on the decubitus position despite several attempts to keep her supine.
The old tunneled dialysis catherer was removed under sterile technique. the cuff was removed.
11 F sheath was introduced ito the left IJV.
venography showed short fibrin sheath in the proximal left brachiocephalic vein.
new 15.5 F x 24 cm Duramax dialysis catheter was introduced.
