I am inquiring on if it is acceptable to bill CPT code 61521 (Craniectomy for excision of brain tumor, infratentorial or posterior fossa; midline tumor at base of skull) and CPT 63280 (Laminectomy for biopsy/excision of intraspinal neoplasm; intradural, extramedullary, cervical) for removal of one tumor. The tumor was located at the skull base and there was infiltration of the tumor with the left inferior cerebellar peduncle right above the foramen of Luchscka. The surgeon exposed the occipital bone, C1 and C2.
