Hello all, I am currently studying to sit for my CRC exam in a couple of weeks.

I would like to know which ICD-10-CM book is suggested or best for the exam. I currently have both the Carol Buck 2019 ICD-10-CM for Physicians (suggested as per my CRC course) and the AMA ICD-10-CM Complete Official Codebook (received from my employer). I know it is stated on the AAPC website that it is our choice of ICD-10-CM.

Is there a preference amongst other coders? Would you prefer one over the other for the CRC and/or the CEMC? I am also studying for my CEMC in June.

I do not use either book more than the other and would like to know what other coders who have sat for the CRC and CEMC exams prefer.

Thank you for any and all opinions/suggestions.

Hello tigerband10,

I used the Optum 360 ICD-10-CM Expert for Physicians book when sitting for my CRC exam. I suppose the best book to bring is the one you studied and learned from since you will be most familiar with the layout of the book.
