Hello there, I am hoping I can find some billing compliance guidance. I am mainly looking for Medicare and Medicaid guidance. Our Crisis Center is an HOD and we want to know what a claim will look like when a patient comes into normal ED and then we clear them medically and ask them to go to our crisis center to get psychological clearance. Mind you, our Crisis Center is under same tax id but different NPI. It is under our main hospital license with our state and it has an endorsement on our license stating Crisis Stabilization Center-Hospital. Is there specific condition code or discharge status code that we should be using? If the answer is that we would need to combine the claims, would we use our main hospital location on claim or the crisis center? Any guidance would be appreciated.
