Hi Everyone!

I have a question on how I am coding an ER chart.

We had a patient we assigned a critical care EM level. 99291 This same patient had a chest x-ray. In the Guidelines it states includes: For professional services for interpretation of chest x-ray. 71010

So we should code 99291 and 71010-TC. Right?

Now we have an outside Radiology group that reads our x-rays and bills their own. Can they bill for the reading of the x-ray or would it be included in the EM level that we coded above. 99291.

Please Help!

Thanks
Evin
