Can contrast material be billed seperately in addition to the CT CPT codes that are "with contrast"?

It looks like Q9965 would be the code I would use. Does anyone know if insurances pay on that vs. bundle it. Also would there be an additional "administration" charge to bill also like 90765 or 90774?

Thanks.

We do CT scans in our office Ex: Ct Neck w/and w/o contrast 70492 we also bill out Q9965 x 150 units.

The HCPS code that you would use depends on the type on contrast that you use in our case we use the 150 low osmolar.

your answer is Yes you may bill for the contrast in addition to the CT procedure itself.

Not to sure about the injection code, we do not bill for that.
