We have performed a CT w/o contrast of the left hip and left knee. Our radiology department is wanting to bill it as 73700.LT and 73700.59LT. I have told them that if the CT was done on the same extremity, no matter how many different areas on that extremity, we can only charge 73700 one time. They said that since the tech scanned each area seperatly at 30 mins for each then we should charge it twice. I have read a few posts on here that agree with what I have told them but does anyone have a website where I can find this information. I have searched and am coming up with nothing. Any help would be appreciated.
