Where can we coding to find the current coding guide lines for the Doctors to read over. They are wanting to see exactly what is required in charting

current coding guidelines are are in every current coding ICD-9-CM book.
as well as online on CMS web site
http://www.cdc.gov/nchs/datawh/ftpserv/ftpICD9/icdguide08.pdf

E/M guidelines are in every current CPT book - (at least in the professional editions by AMA)

oh - and show them the NCD guidelines also (maybe someone will finally have some covered dx's for the labs they order) ;)

there isn't just one set of guidelines (that would be too easy)
