Encephalopathy unspecified - 348.30

I think it's important to understand that encephalopathy is considered an "ill-defined" disease. It's a catch-all for brain diseases. CVA, although unspecified is more specific than encephalopathy. Unless the encephalopathy can be coded to something specific like alcohol (291.2) or hypertension (437.2) it probably doesn't really need to be coded.
