Would you consider this example as an excision or I&D? Any insight is appreciated, Thanks in advance.
Details of Procedure:
Site: Right Posterior Neck
Pre-Op Lesion size: 1.6 cm
Post-Op Lesion size: 1.6 cm
Final Wound Length: 1.5cm
Procedure: Cyst Removal with Intermediate closure

Procedure Note: The area was cleaned and prepped in the usual fashion and local anesthesia was achieved with 1% Xylocaine with Epinephrine. A superficial fusiform incision was made directly overlying the cyst over its longest axis. Sharp dissection utilizing curved tissue scissors and 1 x 2 toothed tissue forceps was carried out freeing the cyst entirely. The cyst was then removed and sent for pathologic interpretation. The wound was cleansed and swabbed, removing any loose debris. The wound was then prepared for closure of dead space and final repair.

The keywords here are, "Sharp dissection utilizing curved tissue scissors and 1 x 2 toothed tissue forceps was carried out freeing the cyst entirely." If it was I&D, there would be language around any fluids and their appearance and probably the word "rupture" would be mentioned.
