I need someone's expert opinion, I have a physician that is stating that we should bill seperate for a cytourethrocopy w/manipulation with a lithotripsy.
The physician moved the stone from the ureter to the kidney then performed the lithotripsy, according to CCI edits you can use a 59 modifer, but he move the stone to perform the ESWL, to me this is incidental. Does anyone out there agree or disagree? If you agree or disagree with me, is there something in writing?
